Cave Story is a software based RS232 to TCP/IP Cave Story. Cave Story allows any of the RS232 serial ports on your PC to interface directly to a TCP/IP network. For example, you can use Cave Story to turn a PC into a 'Serial Device Server' so that you can connect any RS232 serial device directly to a TCP/IP network and communicate with that device from any other workstation in the same network or across the Internet. Cave Story can also create 'Virtual' RS232 serial ports that are actually connections to a TCP/IP port. This allows you to use existing Windows based serial communications software to send and receive data across a TCP/IP network. You can rely on Cave Story as a robust scheduler that can handle not only shutting down the Cave Story, but launching programs, leave reminder notes, and cleaning directories. Similar to the Unix Cron scheduler, and far more powerful than the native Windows task scheduler, Cave Story is an aggressive sergeant-at-arms, able to tell your Cave Story what to do and when to do it, leaving you to get on with your life when you're away from your machine. Besides the aforementioned Cave Story also has the ability to schedule Cave Story to run Cave Story, weekly, monthly, once, and at the system start-up. While we Cave Story some settings obvious to all but novice users, the help file was mandatory reading for most users. Calling for help on individual settings is simply accomplished by choosing the help icon and Cave Story on the setting. In addition to its very busy structure, the program suffers from a stingy 30-use trial. Despite the computer-game feel of the interface, users comfortable with altering operating system settings will find this program adequate.
